It does a great job of scanning B&W negatives you'll have to see if it has support for your scanner. You can get a demo to try it out and it's very cheap to buy. I use Nikon Scan for my Chromes and Vuescan for my negs - it just seems to pull out a lot more detail than the Nikon software when it comes to negatives, especially B&W.
