I have an M6 with 35 F2 on order, awaiting the "Leica Day" price before it ships. As it stands, I've ordered it with the .72 magnification viewfinder, given that I plan (when I can afford it) to eventually acquire lenses ranging in focal length from 24 to 90. I shoot architecture and urban/suburban landscapes, so 35 and 50 would be my most widely used lenses, I believe. What I am considering, however, is changing the order to the .58 magnification viewfinder *if* it would enable me to view the image that a 24 mm focal length lens would cover. I have a basic understanding about how the frame lines work, and how focusing changes their position for parallax compensation (and therefore, no frame lines would mean I would have to compensate myself.) I would appreciate hearing from those LUGists who have used a 24 mm lens without an auxiliary finder, and how that might work out with the .58 viewfinder. Unfortunately, I am nowhere near a Leica dealer where I can go try this out for myself. Thanks. Best, Michael - -- - -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Michael S.
