[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Correction to the statement below There are four different data backs for the R series cameras 1) DataBack DB Leica R4 (14 297)- works on R4 cameras and uses a external cord to the camera's pc terminal to synchronise the back to the camera. 2) DataBack DB-2 Leica R (14 216)- works on R5, RE, R6, R6.2 and R7 cameras and uses internal contacts to synchronise the back to the camera. 3) Databack DB-2 Leica R4 (14 230)- works on R4 cameras and comes with an external cord to synchronise back to the camera 4) DataBack DB-2 Leica R (14 216)- same as the R5 to R7 one but with improved circuitry to vary the output intensity to match the ISO of the film So a DataBack DB Leica R4 will not work on R5 and up cameras. Sorry for the confusion! John Collier The DB 2 Leica R Data Back (14 216) works on all R4 to R7 cameras. Have you tried putting fresh batteries in the back?
