[Leica] confused

I've searched the archives.
I've read the books.
I've spoken to people on the phone.
And everyone has a different answer.

Is there a optical difference between a rigid and dual range Summicron
of the same vintage? Puts says they are exactly the same. Other people
tell me the seven element DR had higher resolution than the rigid seven
element, which had a bit more contrast.

Confused in L.A.
