The tension could be too high, and this leads to a rather loud slap! Once Youxin CLA'd even my IIIb, it is as quiet as a mouse- but then he had replaced the shutter with new Leica material, and it is clean as a whistle- and the shutter is not too tight! You might have the tension checked. I wondered if the actual Leica method was a small 'scale' or device that measured the tension in cm/newtons or whatever!!! You have me wondering...again!
