If it is vertical alignment, it will be off from close-up to infinity. I 
believe you mean horizontal alignment. This is controlled be a screw 
eccentric in the roller of the cam follower and you can fix it yourself. 
Look in the LUG archives.

Vertical alignment requires a special tool.
