I took my first ever hummingbird photo on July 4th with my R8 and 80-200 f/4
zoom lens. Since the birds approaching the feeder wouldn't approach while I
had my eye in the viewfinder, I had to guess the composition and lean back.
In this first instance, that resulted in this one's tail being slightly cut
off. The softness along the rim of his or her head was due to bird
movements, not focus. But the quality of the 80-200 is excellent with Provia
