Ghhhhh, sounds like loading a Arri-2C, except on that camera those
clever Germans put a mark on the magazine. You pull out enough film 
to line it up with the notch and it gives you the exact amount of
holes you need.

Almost seems like you could mark the baseplate on a Leica the same
way...

With tape of course.
