The back is "loose" on M cameras and can be shifted around. This is normal. First open the back and release the shutter with a locking cable release at the "B" setting. This will hold open the shutter so you can have a good look. Look carefully for any chips of film that might be causing the curtain to hang. After that it is time for the camera to go and have its curtain brakes adjusted. I would have a complete CLA done. The light leak (dark on the negative indicating extra > light hitting the film) lines up perfectly with the right edge of the camera > back opening where the back cover plate meets the right side of the camera > body.
