As an aside to the point of your post, I have a question. Basically, what
if your "gear" is damaged during the course of inspection. Who pays for the
damage?

I've ALWAYS been nervous about just "handing over" my $6k (at the time)
notebook computer (or my much more than $6k camera gear) to someone who
"does not care for it the way I do" (I tried to say this as nice as I
could), and say they drop it...somehow damage it...the consequences to me
are quite high...it could ruin an entire trip or business deal.

Anyone ever have any experience with damage in this manner? If so, what was
the resolve?
