The local dealers have always been very supportive and replace the defective units immediately. In the case of the .58x TTLs, I ran through the dealer's entire stock (of 3 units) and found every one defective! As someone here said, I may just have some sort of Leica curse. My sample isn't statistically valid, of course. Perhaps Leica ships all the factory seconds to Seattle. I don't know. However, at the prices they charge for the equipment, I do expect better QA. - --Jim - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nguyen, Olivier T [AMSTA-AR-CCF]" <onguyen@pica.army.mil> To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Sent: Tuesday, September 18, 2001 7:54 AM Subject: RE: [Leica] Foggy Viewfinder / Big Speck of Dust In New M6 And Lens > Human error and other manufacture error that you can not blame Leica for. > there is no way Leica can completely check every single camera come out of > their manufacture. that is why LEICA and other camera make offer warranty. > I do some design work (electronic related at my work) and everything i do > need to work around 1 out of 1millions error factor. > keep in mind, shit happen not everything is perfect.
