Prior to upgrading, I ran it on a Gateway PII, 120 MHz, with 48 Mb ram and then with 128 Mb. I did get a spate of lock-ups in activating my HP S20 scanner through PW Pro. This was remedied by unplugging the scanner both from electric current and from the computer itself. My scanned files were around 17-18 Mb. My guess is either that you have insufficient RAM or that you have a conflict with some other unrelated program running on your machine. Good luck.........Julian - ----- Original Message ----- From: "rp johnson" <rpjohnson2@mindspring.com> To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Sent: Wednesday, September 12, 2001 12:50 AM Subject: RE: [Leica] Theatrical shot > Dave: Thanks! I tried the trial version and it continually GP faulted on me, so I never had a chance to see how it worked. Obviously, you seem to have gotten it to work. I am running a PII @233 mhz and Windows 98. Are you running PWP on a Mac? (I don't think that there is such a beast, but what do I know?). Anyway, I am interested in this as an alternative to Photoshop (less $$$ and takes less resources), but was stymied by the fact that the trial version would not run on my system. I'd be interested in hearing if you had any problems and how you solved them. RP Johnson PS. I am glad that your family was not involved in the attacks today. My sister used to work in the Pentagon, but she retired a couple of years ago and now lives in Sequim.
