Has any camera had a fully mechanical shutter and auto-exposure, not
counting the servo-driven Nikon F2? I'm curious as to how this could be
done.

n press.
The M6-E or M6-A will keep the same structure of the M6 TTL,
which is 1mm higher than the classic M6. They attempted to use
a Japanese shutter, but couldn't get it into the shell. So they
modified the mechanical shutter and added the A for automatic on
the shutter speed dial. It might be shown at the PMA show
coming Feb 2002, or they'll wait until photokina in Sept-Oct
2002. Glory be....Ed
