A Lumiquest 80/20 is on the flash when needed. The dial-in flash fill levels and 1/250 flash sync really do it for me. I often shoot with the camera set to auto everything except focus. I have at various times owned SLR kits from Contax, Olympus, and Minolta. I find Nikon adequate optically, mechanically dependable, and very cost effective when considering the wide range of used lenses available almost everywhere. An FM2n is a back up, with an FE as my "beach camera." Whoever said "f/8 and be there" was probably a Nikon shooter. :+) My pocket cameras are a Contax T2 for genteel occasions, or a Yashica T4 for rough service. I bought a Bessa L to use with the new CV 21. I must confess the shutter sound puts me off more than it should, but the lens is nice. I keep a Canonet QL-17 loaded with infrared and an opaque #87 filter. Most shots are f/11, and I'm sure the film is the limiting factor. In medium format I have a 3.5F Planar and a Rolleicord V. On my wish list: Mamiya 7, Fuji FA-645Zi. Phil Stiles NH USA
