BD The better Kodak lenses are still really competitive, and a lot of them are still being used profesionally in LF and MF cameras. I have a Tessar-derived Ektar in my Baby Speed Graphic which I am itching to try out, once I find a film back and cut down some film. For large-format cameras, Goerz, Zeiss, and Kodak still hold the edge for inexpensive lenses -- the newer lenses (Rodenstock, JSK, Nikon, and Pentax) ARE better but are also a true Leica-sized kick in the pocketbook.
