I think a call to the Insurance Commissioners office is in order for 
sure!!

And WHO sold you this policy ? Get them involved too.

With the next insurance company that you use be sure to cover your gear 
for replacement cost. It will carry a higher premium but at least you 
won't have this kind of run-around.
