I have spent two years sailing round the Greek Islands in my sail boat.
Even with 100ASA film I seemed to be always at f16.  A neutral density
filter perhaps, although I have never used one myself.

Also the Greek houses are stark white, the light is bright bright, and the
Greeks themselves wear black and sit in the shade so you have an excercise
in reducing contrast during the day.

October is a great month because the summer haze has gone.
