Does this really happen? I have no idea, but it's a theory as posted on the LUG & LEG of many years. I suppose it's very possible given the no good rotten SOB's in the world who'd steal from their mothers! So now you know why many of the good Leica folks only put down partial serial numbers. ted Ted Grant Photography Limited www.islandnet.com/~tedgrant - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pablo Kolodny" <pkolodny@fibertel.com.ar> To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Sent: Wednesday, August 29, 2001 7:16 PM Subject: Re: [Leica] Stolen Leicas--how do you prevent that from happening? > Ted, > > thanks to you I now do understand the notation XXX > ;-) > > -- > Pablo Kolodny > www.pablokolodny.com > > > From: "Ted Grant" <tedgrant@home.com> > > Reply-To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > > Date: Wed, 29 Aug 2001 14:29:03 -0700 > > To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> > > Subject: Re: [Leica] Stolen Leicas--how do you prevent that from happening? > > > > Hi Alfie, > > > > Take them to bed with you! ;-) Not very cuddly but beats having them ripped > > off in the middle of the night. > >
