I get more consistent results with the EF, but I use it far less than the Nocti primarily because it's *so* heavy and loud. The EF 1.0 L is a terrific lens, but you have to be really serious about wanting to use it. The Nocti, on the other hand, just sort of comes along quietly when I'm with friends. I see no major difference in image quality between the two, except to say that the spot meter of the EOS-1 helps me out a lot in the dark. I'm currently looking into getting an M5 for that reason.
