Noise is ABSOLUTELY one of the two major pieces of calculating dynamic range
(the other being amplitude of the signal).  If you don't know that, I
believe you don't really understand what actual dynamic range is.

Noise, can of course, also limit resolution, but it depends on what noise
you are talking about.
