If it was just the rangefinder >vertical alignment you mentioned in earlier posts, it is a very quick >adjustment. ah, that's the rub. i bought it from midwest photo exchange. about six months after i got it, someone pointed out that there was no serial number on it. filed off in fact. so i called midwest and said "you know there's no serial number on here" to which the manager replied "yeah it was sold to a leica employee and they take the serial numbers off." and i said "leica won't fix it without a serial number," to which he said "midwest will stand behind that camera forever. you send it back here if it needs repairs and we'll take care of it." so that's where my camera is. and that's where it's been...... and that's where it's been...... and that's where it's been...... they seem like nice enough people, but this is a lot of hassle. kc
