But that could be one reason why majority Pros who need long lenses do not go for Leica Rs. There is relatively dismal backup support. There is no other choices besides the APO Modular units in the current lineup. These are great lenses though...but if backup is ever needed...watch out. They had to wait for a new batch of optical units to be manufactured.
