What shocked me was that the view through the finder was substantially wider than the coverage of the lens, and that I was always cropping out things I was sure would be included. The inaccuracy was enough to sour me on that way of shooting. Obviously more practice would have helped, but I was never enough of a fan of the 24 to make the effort. I had heard that with the .72 viewfinder, the outer edge of the viewfinder was roughly the 24mm angle of view. If that were true, it should be more so with the .58. I am making sense?
