Oddly enough, the use of the wind lever to turn the camera meter on and off
- - used in the Nikon FE (and FE2, FM, FM2, FM2n among others) - is a source
of many complaints from users of these cameras, especially from left-eyed
users.

If you're left-eyed, the wind lever pokes you in the right eye when it's in
the on position. Nikon has listened to these complaints, and dropped this
feature from the FM3A.
