I suspect the flash lit enough of what need fill that the incomplete flash 
exposure went unnoticed.  Fire one against a blank wall and see what happens.

Once I mistaked and took a roll with flash at 1/60th , it was all garbage !

You've got a lucky M6 .

Thanks a lot for the info . I'll try it again on the 2 M6 I've got .
