I wonder what percentage of their sales are mail order/internet. I've
certainly bought quite a few things from them but never been near the shop -
in fact I think that I (and my bank manager!) would be frightened to go to
their shop for fear of spending too much.

Obviously Ffordes are looking to become an on-line and / or mail order
house. The population within a 30 mile radius of Inverness is likely not
1% of what it is at Southend-on-Sea. Mind you, I bet the rent and rates
/ property taxes are a lot less, and the air less polluted.
