actually, some of the canon AF cameras focus wherever you're looking in
the viewfinder by measuring the shape of your eyeball. amazing, but very
off topic -- i'll try and slide it back a little by saying that today i
found myself focusing and recomposing to a freakish degree with my leica
trying to do a portrait with someone on the edge of the frame. sometimes
it's nice to be able to focus on the edge of a frame without recomposing.
but it's just not as fun without my leica.
