Frank,

My condolences...

You have to train yourself to watch or feel the rewind knob turning when
you advance the film. This has become so second nature to me that I never
mis-load. Even if I do, it is caught on the first frame (actually when
advancing to the first frame.)

I'll bet it never happens to you again...
