I would advise not doing that!!

I have for instance 55mm filters which fit my 90 Asph and 24.
But when i have my yellow green on my 90 and i switch to the 24 i have to
unscrew it and put it on the 24.
In other words forget it. So i switch to the 35 instead which has the 39mm
yellow green on it. Or I'll use the 90 Elmarit instead of the Summicron as the
Elmarit has a 46mm yellow green on it so i can use the 55mm for the 24.

In other words you'll be often glad you have more than one of the same filter in
different sizes.

Step downs are a downer.

or i'll use just green on one and yellow green on the other
