I got to the point where i was not going to let my negs go though the proofing process. Its out of my site and at great risk at that point. Also when i get the proofs back it takes not one but two hours if not three to number them. It's not that time is money but life is too short. So i first made enlarged contact sheets from my 35mm from an 8x10 enlarger then i switched to regular contact sheets from medium format. Kinda makes you more careful with your exposures. If you make a mistake you've got to cut an paste. I'd always do a few weddings a year during the years during the 80's and 90's but less and less i wanted to not handle them just like another real job. If i shot a family i'd never get "proofs" made. Or a commerical thing. Contact sheets. Mark Rabiner Portland, Oregon USA http://www.rabiner.cncoffice.com/
