Lea, I should say that you should not disagree, anyway.
Just have a look at yours "football" or "hose" pictures...then think about
composing another frame on the subject and re-focusing as you would do
it...the try to compose with your AF macro system, you will realize that
resulting spots in focus and out of focus are diverse than you imagined.
Try it, then argue again...then tell us.
