Ah, but that may be because you are focusing with an EOS screen that's designed for AF work. Have a gander through an R8 viewfinder sometime and you'll be able to focus much more easily and accurately--there's enough contrast in the ground glass to accommodate it. Not much it can do if your eyes won't focus accurately, though (perhaps this is what you meant). But for that there are eyeglasses, no? The R8 finder wins here, too, with much more eye relief than the EOS finders. Dan (who is always talking himself back into an R8)
