I hear those tube cameras produce wonderfully smooth highlights and
amazingly lifelike midtones. Some do complain a bit that they tend to give
somewhat woolly dark tones, though that can be corrected to some degree by
swapping out the cheap stock tubes with some nice English or French high-end
jobs. Bokeh to die for apparently, none of those edgy transistor nasties
like the digital models.
