BMW's from the States or Germany seem to be of similar quality. Also, while the Hondas and Toyotas made in the States do seem to be of consistently high quality, so do those made in Japan. It seems to be a toss-up. ....and the significance of all the above with respect to Leicas is pretty remote, as certainly the individual factory management and QC is to blame, not the actual country as a whole. - -- * Henning J.
