For those wanting an electronic M camera, there is no need to wait: the Hexar RF is it. No it doesn't have TTL flash, but, from what I can remember about the "M6E" threads, that is about the Konica's only "shortcoming." I suspect that the real reason it is not selling as some may have anticipated is - as one Lugger has already pointed out - Leica did not make it, which is something else that came up in the previous electronic M threads. At the time, one Lugger (who has since disappeared from the list - punished by the manual camera god, no doubt) was adamant: it couldn't be just any AE camera with an M mount, it had to be a M camera made by Leica. Period. Nothing else would be acceptable. (I never could figure out why since he had the "camera is only a tool" attitude.) I'll probably get pelted for this but frankly I am glad that Leica never made that camera, and I hope that the M will remain manual. The fact that the M6 is a well built, all mechanical camera (with the exception of the meter, of course) is exactly what prompted me to sell my Nikon gear and go with Leica in the first place. If I really wanted or needed an electronic M camera I would buy the Hexar w/out hesitation. I doubt that I ever will since that's the last thing I want - that's why I use an M6! Guy
