experience the 50s and 60s lenses feel much smoother and more precise than

the new ones. (Yes I have some of each) My chrome 35 ASPH Summicron is nice

but does not have the feel of the older lenses.

The chrome lens 50/2 is the most current version.  Do you mean to say the 
focusing is even smoother and easier on the older lenses? That would be 
unbelievable to me!
