Jack:

Is the 50 a current lens or an old one from the 50s or 60s? In my
experience the 50s and 60s lenses feel much smoother and more precise than
the new ones. (Yes I have some of each) My chrome 35 ASPH Summicron is nice
but does not have the feel of the older lenses.
