I echo that.  I have Win2K on all my own machines now and am planning on
migrating my wife's machine to it at first opportunity.  It is what NT
should have been.

I find that Win2K is the most stable OS ever put out by Microsoft.  Biggest
problem NT had was not being installed correctly and not setting up the
right hardware drivers. I manage 10 servers for my company all running NT
and I have never had a single problem with a server going down due to an NT
failure.  I have experienced hardware failures unrelated to the OS.

I am also running Windows 2000 Professional on my laptop and find it
outstanding in resource usage and stability.
