Depending on where you live, Scala processing need not be any more difficult than normal E6. When I lived in Brussels, I took my Scala to a lab that did same-day service; here in Zurich I just drop it off at a photo lab near my office and get the slides the following day at a price that is 2 CHF (about $1.30) higher than for E6.
