For some time I've been hearing pros and cons, mostly pros, about a
Pentax 43mm lens.  Evidently British photo magazine "Amateur
Photographer" said that it's their new reference lens beating their
former reference, the Carl Zeiss 50/1.4   Along with that I've heard
that some non-Pentax types are buying Pentax bodies just to be able to
use the lens.

I recently bought one and am working on the first roll of transparency
film... so I can't report on it at all yet.

But, I just found this a couple of nights ago and thought that some of
you may be interested. The author talks about a Leica mount version a
little near the end of the page.
