[Leica] M6 frame counter won't reset fully

Hello all - 

I have an M6 classic with a minor problem - the frame counter resets
consistently to 12 instead of zero when I remove the base.  I've fiddled
with winding and rewinding and such, but it hasn't helped.  Is there a
simple trick to fix this, or am I in for a CLA?  Thanks in advance.
