I've seen one instance of this in the late 70's in a roll of ASA 400 film that was in a Rollei 35; you could clearly see the shadow of the strap attachment on the film in a repeating pattern. If the film was not in a camera or near a dense object, you would get an increase in overall density and background fog in a repeating pattern, due to the rays being stronger on one side of the roll than the other. - -- * Henning J.
