I'm looking forward to using it for architectural and landscape photography. Also for forced-perspective caricatures. Best of all, you can't use a UV filter with it!! ;-) I've generally shot at f/8 or f/11, and am excited with the DOF and contrast. If there is any cloud activity in the sky, it gets VERY dramatic - the lens seems to "pull' the entire sky towards the center. Definitely something to work with here. On the flip side - if the sky is clear and too much is in the picture, it can lead to a very boring photograph. And its all too easy to do with this piece of glass. Filling the frame takes effort. I'm fortunate in that the second roll I shot with the lens was a series of industrial photos of a 1000 HP pump taken indoors. No other lens would work in the confined area available. Insofar as several were chosen for publication in an in-house newsletter, the lens has already paid for itself. Slobodan - I'm looking forward to meeting you Sunday at the Buena Park Swap Meet (anybody have a lens cap or shade for a Rollei 35?) I'll be wearing a tan Yankee BB cap. Best, Ira Silverman
