True, but then you are lugging (gee, how many uses of LUG can we come up
with in this post? <g>) around the neck strap when you are using the sling.
But your point stands: you can always attach the strap to the ring rather
than the lug, and thereby avoid all the fiddling it takes to remove and
re-attach the sling.
