Expression, eyes, light, background the whole image is just a cracker jack photograph! Not that there is anything wrong with the rest of them, but little Frederico is a super photojournalistic photograph. Shot in the true manner of "If you can see it, you can shoot it!" So many others would have brought out the flash and popped it right in his face, therefore destroying the whole effect of reality. This once again points out that time is of the essence to the photojournalist allowing them to build a rapport with their subjects and how they relate to and make the subject feel comfortable with the forever blinking lens.
