Doug,
Lucian Niemeyer, another wildlife photographer and author of several
photo books on birds works in a white jumpsuit and makes noise so the birds
know he is there.
It's all a matter of personal technique...
FYI- He's a Leica user also, and uses almost identical equipment as you
do.
