I was in Japan at that time, and the prices in Japanese Yen for the chrome and black versions of this lens are 55k and 58k respectively. The 90mm finder is listed at 22.8k yens. Although there is no official announcement of the release date of the 28/1.9 yet, when I enquired at Lemon Camera (the official importer of Leica gear in Japan), the shop manager said this lens would be released in March. Message-ID: <37.10f54b8e.27c34da2@aol.com> References: The 90/3,5 Apo-Lanthar from Voigtlander should be coming out in March. It is already being advertised in the February issue of the Asahi Camera in Japan. The aux. finder looks just like the old 90 finder from Leica. The 21/4 which couples to the rangefinder is coming later this spring (most likely April/May) and will cost around US$ 550 with the brightline finder. I have shot with this lens and it is sharp! According to Mr Kobyashi, President of Cosina, it is a sharper lens than the Biogon 21/4,5 — and he should know as he has several of these! Cosina/Voigtlander is staggering the releases for new products so not to overwhelm the market. There is also the 28/1,9 Asph making it's appearance later this spring as well as some other nifty stuff! Tom A
