My Sun machines and Linux Boxes (Intel based) have been up for 87 days
straight.. (had a power outtage, or it would have been 337 days)

Seriously, my G4 or my 9500 lock up maybe once a week.
Maybe not that often.
Java on the web is the worst culprit.
Otherwise they simply soldier on.

If you have that much trouble get a Mac geek to go over it.
