Sounds a bit like the Rollei QZ - an AF camera with MF capabilities via a
dial on the top plate. If I recall, you can focus manually by setting the
distance on that dial, perhaps there is even a LED in the VF that indicates
that correct focus has been achieved, I don't remember exactly.

Like the Contax G, it has two very fine lenses which can give spectacular
results, though the MF feature seemed pretty ineffectual.
