As such, they will naturally discontinue products if the product is not selling in sufficient quantities to justify its existence--this was apparently the case with APX25 or the "pro" range of Kodachrome, or HIE sheet film. Tending to an optimistic sort, I am constantly amazed at the wide choice of film and other materials that continue to be available; for example, if I want to shoot with a high-speed B&W film, I have the choice of Kodak T-Max 3200, Ilford Delta 3200, Fuji Neopan 1600, Tri-X pushed two stops, HP5 pushed two stops...I can develop my film is XTOL, D76, Rodinal, DD-X and a myriad other developers. I have much less choice when buying an airline ticket or choosing the supermarket to shop in or in many other areas of life. BTW, I just loaded my first roll of HIE in total darkness--into my M3! I feel pretty proud of myself. Now to go and do something sensible with it... Nathan leica@rakitzis.com wrote: > And it seems that HIE has been discontinued in sheet film.
